“Biaxially Oriented” polypropylene means the polypropylene film is stretched in both the machine direction and cross machine direction. Because of its superior strength at low gauges, flatness, clarity and excellent printability, this durable product has become one of the most popular, high growth films in the world market. These products are used in a variety of markets and applications; flexible packaging applications, pressure sensitive tapes, labels, consumer products and a wide variety of non packaging uses. Polypropylene is a general purpose film featuring a one sided treatment for adhesion of inks and glues. It is resistant to moisture, oils, grease, acids and is a good barrier to gasses with a long shelf life. The polypropylene unsupported overlaminate films are FDA approved for direct food contact.
